Welcome to my world of images

I love to combine elements that evoke very different associations. The compilation of the individual motifs follows a logic that is typical of dreams. Dreams are, after all, collages in essence. Since 2008, I have been creating digital collages, primarily from my own photographs. Without AI, but with a dedication that is a mystery even to me.

All collages are released in a total edition of 80 copies and are available in three sizes. If you would like a different size or finish, please write to me.

Houses

Buildings are never emotionally neutral. We travel great distances to marvel at some of them. In my collages, I can use this expressiveness of architecture to freely connect our inner world of associations, feelings, and ideas with the outer world.

Algebra and Love

Here, I tell stories with architecture. Unlike in the "Houses" gallery, I show people in these pictures. Often, they are motifs from my archive of historical portraits. Some collages (e.g., "Window-Eyed Forest") are colorized black-and-white images. Architecture here represents an inner situation.

Antimatter

These collages are very free. Here, I have given my playfulness room to roam. The combination of such diverse photographic elements always leads to chaos at first. The art lies in taming this diversity and carefully connecting the elements with each other. This requires compositional rigor, especially here. It must look as if there is a secret design pattern. Then, in the end, a structure emerges quite surprisingly that seems to be a being with its own dignity. And that then feels like magic.

Characters

The images in this gallery often require a second or third look. They are particularly profound and take their time. Sometimes it's about a complex theme like "Father" in "Supergod." Or "Death" in "The End of Numbers." In the "Signs" gallery, I have compiled images that appear more subtle. Many of them are particularly personal images.
